Hi all, I wanted to update you that the first day of our drive-thru went smoothly. We had a just the right number of patients come in. I'm not sure how the other drive thru's are running their show, but at our practice, there's an intake portion where vital signs are obtained, and then you drive up to the another area where the physician takes a detailed history and performs the physical. There's a discussion of the physician's assessment along with any tests that need to be ordered. I must say that it was very gratifying to hear the incredibly positive feedback from patients. The appreciation our community has for its physicians is very palpable and I thought I'd just share that here. Since our last post, we had a few more donations coming in for personal protective equipment and I'd just like to thank everyone for pitching in! @duke_hart @alineshaf @herminehmoradi 's sister Melineh, you guys are awesome, you went out of your way just to help us out, thanks x1000. And we've received a little more coverage from social media on this since there aren't many clinics doing a drive-thru, thanks for sharing about ours @araksyakarapetyan . We are looking forward to what tomorrow brings and hopefully we won't have to see anyone! But the way this disease is going, it seems inevitable that a spike will come any day and we are practicing to be more prepared by then. As for you, you should practice your social distancing skills... when this all boils over, we have to figure out how to deal with maternity ward being over-run nine months after...
