About Dr. Avanes

After completing his training, Dr. Avanes sought out employment that would allow him to connect with patients in a meaningful way. Seeing few opportunities to achieve that goal in the complex world of modern medicine, he set out to create the ideal healthcare practice. After many hours of planning and designing that vision, he named it Harmony Health.
Dr. Avanes completed an undergraduate degree at Duke University and studied at Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He's a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Los Angeles County Medical Association District 2 president.
As an active member of the community, he is also a committee member of the Glendale Community College Health Advisory and the Glendale Adventist Medical Center HIM/UM. He is affiliated with local hospitals, including Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), signed into law on March 23rd, 2010, mandates health insurance coverage for all individuals starting in January 2014, which is why we assist all uninsured patients work towards coverage. For patients who prefer to pay with cash, our pricing reflects the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services fee schedule.
